IMPORTANT ferry crossing times!

Posted by in News | October 11, 2014

Dear guests/agents/drivers, as per our booking information and website please be advised that the Paraa vehicle ferry only runs between 7am – 7pm.

The UWA regulate all activity within the park, including the river, so if you arrive on the north bank after the last ferry please contact them on +256 (0) 392 881348 as we are unable to assist with alternative crossing options or late night pick ups.

When planning your safari do make sure you leave yourself with plenty of time to reach us safely and that your driver knows exactly how to reach the lodge (details of our location are on our website).

Thanks for your understanding,
Murchison River Lodge

Just one of the many reasons to visit MFNP!

1st July 2014 ~ VAT and Government taxes

Posted by in News | July 1, 2014

Dear guests,

This is to let you know that we have updated the 2014 prices on our website.

As of the 1st July 2014 our all inclusive accommodation rates now include the required Ugandan Government taxes and VAT at 18%.

We apologise for any disappointment this may cause, but wish to stress that we have kept the revised prices for our mid-range accommodation competitive.

So with great food, superb river location, beautiful pool (and soon to be an additional pool lounge area with WIFI) we hope you’ll join us by the Nile very soon.

Best wishes
All of us at MRL

UWA vehicle ferry update

Posted by in News | June 15, 2014
Yesterday we were notified by the Uganda Wildlife Authority that their Paraa vehicle ferry will be out of action from the 16th – 19th June 2014 for repair work.  We are notifying guests and tour operators who are staying with us during that time with alternative options for game drives on the north bank.
We recommend game driving in through the northern section of the park via the Wankwar gate, leaving your vehicle at Paraa and taking a boat taxi operated by Wild Frontiers along the Nile to our door step on the south bank. The next day the boat taxi can take you back to your vehicle for any game drives/exiting of the park.
Wild Frontiers Boats can be contacted on 0773897275
