Beneath a large thatched roof is the lodge restaurant, bar and terrace where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the River Nile and Murchison Falls National Park. From this vantage point we often see elephants, hippo and water buck wading through the water to graze on the islands and vervet monkeys pass through the lodge most days.
Along the main wall in the restaurant we have a “timeline” which guides you through the history of Murchison Falls National Park and a few niches where books are kept for your enjoyment. Hammocks, sofas and picnic tables are all provided within the vicinity of the bar and terrace.
Everything on site runs off solar, including the fridges and freezers. We have a well stocked bar and all meals are served in the restaurant, with complimentary tea and fresh coffee available from 4pm. We use fresh ingredients, bake our own bread, create familiar home-made meals, regularly cook on the BBQ near the bar and every evening the fire pit is lit – making it the perfect spot for a sundowner.
