Striking handwoven hammocks, made using kitenge fabric, can be found in quiet areas around the lodge and are purchased directly from, ‘Ngora Parish Harmock Company’ in eastern Uganda. While creating the “harmacks,” students learn tailoring as well as fundamental business skills, all while accruing money to either go back to school or start a business of their own. Hammocks are available to purchase from Murchison River Lodge.
